Roadside Assistance sold by Catch Insurance was arranged by Auto & General Services until 19 July 2021 and our partnership with the Roadside Assistance provider has now ended.

Existing Catch customers who have Roadside Assistance through Auto & General will continue to be administered until further notice.

When can I start using Catch Roadside Assistance?

Catch Roadside Assistance is available 48 hours after you join, but if you require immediate assistance, don’t stress! Give us a call on 1800 036 608 Monday – Friday 8am-5pm AEST, Saturday 8am-2pm AEST, and we’ll sort you out (an additional service fee will apply).

Does it matter who’s driving the car?

No. We’ll provide Roadside Assistance for your nominated vehicle, regardless of who is at the wheel.

How quickly can I expect Roadside Assistance?

Our goal is to get you back on the road as soon as possible, but how quickly we can get to you will depend on a number of factors, including your location and road conditions.

In selected areas, we’ll be able to SMS you a link to a map with the real-time location of your Catch roadside contractor or tow truck operator and their estimated time of arrival. If the tracking service is not available in your area, you will receive a call instead.

Can I get Roadside Assistance if an incident occurs at home?

Whether you’ve blown a tyre or busted a battery in your driveway, Catch Roadside Assistance will cover you both at home and on the road.

How does your technical assistance hotline work?

We’ll ask you a few questions about your vehicle in order to get a better understanding of the breakdown. If we can’t identify the problem over the phone, we’ll send a roadside contractor to help you.

I’m not a member – can I still get assistance?

Yes, however, you will need to purchase Roadside Assistance and pay an additional service charge for any pre-existing issues.

How does your roadside-assistance GPS tracking work?

Once you’ve contacted us, we’ll log your request and SMS a link to your smartphone. This link will show the real-time location of your roadside contractor, as well as their estimated time of arrival. If the tracking service is not available in your area, you will receive a call instead.

How can my Insurer assist me if I am experiencing vulnerability?

Our insurance partner, Auto & General may be able to assist you.
